Hello and welcome! I’m Shang, and I’ve been passionate about photography for over 14 years. What started as a hobby has grown into a lifelong pursuit of capturing the beauty and essence of people through my lens. Currently, I’m also a grad student, balancing my academic pursuits with my love for photography.
My Philosophy
I believe that beautiful photos are for everyone. Whether it’s a professional portrait, a candid moment, or a special occasion, my goal is to capture the best image of everyone I photograph. Each person has a unique story or a preferred side of face and I strive to reflect that individuality and beauty in every shot. My Work
Specializing in beautiful portrait photography, I take pride in creating images that are both authentic and timeless. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing weddings in France and Canada, and I cover various events, ensuring each moment is captured perfectly. Additionally, I’ve done numerous stage photos for artists, helping them showcase their performances in the best light.
I understand that having your photo taken can be a vulnerable experience, and I aim to make it as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. With a friendly approach and a keen eye for detail, I work to bring out the natural beauty in every subject. I’m fluent in English, French, and Mandarin, which helps me connect with a diverse range of clients and create a welcoming environment for everyone.
Valuing Privacy
I value my clients’ privacy deeply, which is why I don’t have sample photos of all my portraits from the past on my website. Each session is a private experience, and I respect the personal nature of the moments I capture. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing people from different cultures and I understand their unique aesthetic needs.

I’ve also volunteered for various organizations, such as the Alliance Fraçaise of Calgary, using my skills to give back to the community. My professional gear ensures that I deliver high-quality photos every time, no matter the setting or event.
